Hi Benjamin

I just wanted personally to say thank you so much for a wonderful course.  It’s been one of the best I’ve been on and I learnt so much about how to view the landscape in a much more creative way than previously.  I loved how you kept the pace flowing but allowed time for discussion and that you were willing to share so much detail about your photographs and how you created them.

Obviously the Sunday morning was the icing on the cake as far as the practical side was concerned and has certainly inspired me to explore our own wonderful coastline in more detail and in a much more creative way.  I’ve got loads of ideas flying around my head just now – it’s positively buzzing...

Thanks and kind regards

Rona

Dear Ben

What a weekend! And I see you have put it up on your blog; when did you find time to do that? Anyway thanks for all your patience, support and, above all, enthusiasm and expertise in taking us through the course at West Dean...

Well done and thanks again

Richard

Dear Benjamin

I really wanted to say how much I enjoyed your weekend photography course at West Dean College. Your enthusiasm rubbed off on us all and made for a fun packed time.

Kind regards

Sue

This week we welcomed Benjamin Graham, an internationally published freelance photographer, who gave his presentation entitled "Landscapes - Light & Timing".

Benjamin illustrated, via a number of his images, how he uses the light within an hour of sunrise and sunset to create some stunning landscapes - shot during the “Transition Zone”.

A most interesting and educational presentation which was accompanied by an amusing commentary and some stunning images.

The evening concluded with club president David Nicholls giving a warm vote of thanks and a request that our guest return at a later date with a further presentation.

Good Morning Benjamin

Just a few words to thank you again for your excellent presentation last night.

Educational, motivational and inspirational was the feedback I got from everyone I spoke to. The generous helping of humour will guarantee that the content of your talk will live long in the memory - one of the best presentations I have enjoyed in the ten years I have been a club member.

Best regards

Club President and Programme Sec.

P.S. Do expect invitations from other camera clubs.

Hi Benjamin

That was a Master Class - very professional and informative, presented in a way that every member attending will take away something from the evening to improve their photography, whatever the genre, whatever their style.

It was a privilege to be in the audience, I was left being inspired and encouraged - with permission to find my own way.

We will certainly look at our future programmes with a view to asking you for a return visit.

Thanks once again - I hope you enjoyed it as much we did.

Kind Regards

Good evening Benjamin

...Your enthusiasm for the subject inspired us all I think, making for an enlightening and uplifting weekend. We went away with some terrific shots too. Many thanks for all that and for sharing some of your wonderful images with us. I’ll be turning to the memory-joggers you provided when in need of some constructive advice. Excellent blog post you wrote too with some super images...

Sincere regards and best wishes

Steve

Dear Benjamin,

We met at Wimbleball in March, taking photos of the beautiful sunset over the lake.

You have encouraged me to move forward with my passion for photography and having spoken with you and studied your website, you gave me great inspiration. I did as you suggested, at the very least buy a tripod, which I have done and have made the effort to learn more about the capabilities of my own camera, rather than just point and shoot! I have also been more pro active, taking advice, learning everyday and entering competitions and sharing some photos with magazines etc. Recent circumstances have also allowed me the time to pursue my passion.

To my utmost surprise, I have been reasonably successful (albeit low key!) and won a couple of competitions, been runner up in numerous more and was one of the finalists in the UK National Parks photo competition! My photos have been in some national & local magazines and on various websites etc and even on the BBC weather! I am loving it!

I am now looking to change my loved Sony bridge camera as I have reached all its limitations and move on to a DSLR! Who'd have thought!

You gave me the inspiration that day, thank you!

Best Regards

Thanks for a great weekend, which has reignited my photographic ‘spark' after a period of dwindling inspiration - its great to be looking out for shots again, even though I don’t have my ‘real’ camera stuff with me every day.

As per Benjamin’s Instructions, my ‘nifty fifty’ will definitely be heading north with me for Christmas ;-)

Have a good one

Mary

Hi Benjamin,

I very much enjoyed your course and found it informative and rewarding; it certainly awakened in me a desire to take more low-light photographs and capture more of the fairly magical scenes available when one gets out of bed earlier. I would like to do more and follow up on the seeds you have sewn.

So, thank you very much for your time and patience at the weekend and it is good to know that you enjoyed yourself too.

Perhaps I’ll make one of your weekend shoots; keep me posted.

All the best,

John

Excellent course, very well run. I enjoyed the course very much indeed. I was definitely one of the least experienced members of the group so thanks for your patience, especially during the dawn and dusk trips.

I wanted to say a very big thank you for the wonderfully inspirational talk you gave at Bishop's Waltham last night. It is the best talk I have ever heard on photography... very motivating and encouraging. You are not only an amazing photographer but equally you can communicate very very effectively. Lovely to hear someone saying that the local locality is the place to go and keep practising too.

Benjamin

Thanks again for a superb talk on Thursday.

I’ve had great feedback from the members.

We’d love to get you back again for another session.

All the best

Benjamin, I hardly need to send a thank you note, as you would be well aware now of the esteem in which you were already held by Steyning CC.

Several of us met up this morning at the Jubilee Library for our coffee morning, combined with a view of Bill Wisden's photographic work, and there must have been half a dozen discussions at a time among the ten of us, about the merits of your presentation and your work. You've definitely inspired a few to double check their Lightroom files for items that could fit your style.

Thank you very much for your presentation. You're always welcome to visit us (no charge) if you'd like to check other presenters. Just a quick look at the club programme will give you all you need.

Highest regards,

Geoff
