Charlie Waite, Diana Leppard & the L&L crew, Ray Mears and the legion unsung heroes of the evening created a gig to remember forever; what a tremendous night for the award to be bestowed on me and to assume the title from the talented, charming and reigning 2016 El Poty, Matthew Cattell.
Seen here: Charlie Waite (Awards Founder); Andrew Bulloch (Young Landscape Photographer of the Year); Benjamin Graham (Ancient Landscape Photographer of the Year); and Ray Mears (currently Bushwhacker of the Year).
To be in the same room with so many amazing toggery creatives was such a buzz, such a privilege and such an honour. My mum, at 87, even made the journey up by train from West Sussex to watch the inauguration with my daughter, my brother, my sister-in-law and my niece so it was a fab family gathering to boot.
Huge thanks to everyone who made the evening such a success.
